import requests import json url = 'https://fcsapi.com/api/forex/history?symbol=USD/CAD&period=1D&access_key=xxx' r = requests.get(url) packages_json = r.json() packages_str = json.dumps(packages_json, indent=2) data_file = open("Data.txt", "w") data_file.write(packages_str) data_file.close()This worked well and now im trying to pull values from "Data.txt" file into a different python file. This is a sample of Data.txt file:
{ "status": true, "msg": "successfully", "response": [ { "o": "1.3337", "h": "1.3355", "l": "1.3294", "c": "1.3345", "t": 1554336000000, "tm": "2019-04-04 00:00:00" }, { "o": "1.3349", "h": "1.3374", "l": "1.3335", "c": "1.336", "t": 1554422400000, "tm": "2019-04-05 00:00:00" }, { ect.....Im trying to pull all the "c" values into another equation, but first im trying to figure out how to pull them out. Why wont this code work?
import json with open('Data.txt', 'r') as data_file: data = json.load(data_file) for item in data['response']: print(item['c'])Bonus question: The data that comes out of the API is going from oldest to newest, I would want newest data first. So I would want to pull the lower "c" value first and move from the bottom going up.
